YouTube Video Randomizer

What is this?

Is your YouTube feed getting stagnant? Looking for something new and different to watch? Give this a try!

Hit the "Let's go!" button to instantly get random YouTube videos. Or, try the other options if you want more control.

Either way, it's like the YouTube version of channel surfing, or like StumbleUpon for YouTube!

This tool shows you YouTube searches based on one of ~6,000 keywords and a random month from YouTube's launch in 2005 to today.

Because this tool doesn't rely on a list of curated or self-indexed videos, the pool of videos that can be found is all publicly available videos on YouTube. That's billions of videos.

This tool basically just utilizes YouTube's existing infrastructure and features without getting in the way. It's essentially a user-friendly URL generator. It's simple and that's what makes it great.

Ideas for how to use this tool:

• Generate a random search term, then add your own search terms to it. For example, generate a random search term and add "SNL," to find random Saturday Night Live sketches.

• Use this site as a shortcut for searching for videos in a specific date range. For example, search for a favorite YouTube channel's content from a certain period.

• Set the date range to end at a year like 2010, to only search for "old YouTube" videos and re-capture what early, classic YouTube was like.
