Cracked was one of the most beloved websites of the 2000s and 2010s. By the end of 2017, though, much of the classic-era staff was no longer with the site. This tool commemorates and makes it easier to relive that era. I made this for myself as an alternative to scrolling through social media.
How it works: I scraped the Cracked site for titles, links, dates, and authors of posts up to the end of 2017. (I had to stop the data collection at some point and 2017 seemed like a good place to end.) I then cleaned up the data and put it in a big text file, which this tool uses to draw from at random.
